The Hill Suburb Pastoral Area was formed in 2006 by the Dunedin Catholic Diocese and combines the parishes of St Francis Xavier Mornington, St Mary's Kaikorai and St Joseph's Brockville. In 2021 the St Joseph's Cathedral Parish was included to form what is now known as the Cathedral & Hill Suburbs Pastoral Area
